Robyn Kruk is a consortium member with a distinguished career in public administration, executive leadership, and policy reform. She has served as a Chief Executive and Secretary in the NSW and Commonwealth governments and currently holds several statutory and board positions at the state, national, and international levels.

With a strong commitment to policy innovation, regulatory reform, and service delivery, Robyn has worked extensively with Ministers, Chief Executives, and leadership teams across Australian and State/Territory Governments. She also contributes her expertise through advisory roles in the non-government sector and dedicates time to the mental health sector, helping develop leadership and advocacy capabilities.

Robyn’s career has been defined by transformative reforms in politically sensitive and complex areas. She has played a key role in shaping health and environmental governance internationally, serving as an International Chief Advisor to the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development. Additionally, she has acted as an independent assessor for the Dubai Smart Government Awards and held leadership roles in health reform initiatives in the USA.

She has extensive board experience, having served as Chair or Director for multiple organizations in healthcare, natural resources, mental health, food safety, and disability policy. She is currently Chair of the Australian Eating Disorders Research and Translation Centre and previously served on the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) Board as well as the Independent Advisory Council to the NDIS.

Earlier in her career, Robyn was the founding Chief Executive and Commissioner of the National Mental Health Commission, where she led nationwide mental health reform. She has also held senior executive roles as Secretary (CEO) of the Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts, Director General of the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet, Director General of NSW Health, and Director General of the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.

For her outstanding contributions, Robyn was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2005 for her service in executive government, strategic management, and public sector reform. In 2018, she was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in recognition of her work in mental health reform, environmental protection, and food standards.

Beyond her professional achievements, Robyn is a dedicated mentor and coach, supporting leadership development at all levels. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Public Administration and a Fellow of ANZSOG. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Psychology, a Master’s in Administration, and is a graduate of the Harvard Advanced Management Program.
